We at Sherlock Homes Inspectors, are now certified to offer Exam Proctoring & supervised test inspections, as a recognised InterNACHI school partner.

If you are thinking of becoming a Home Inspector, or part the way through your courses, here is a step by step guide in order to obtain your licence in the province of Alberta.

First you’ll need to be a member of InterNACHI, join by clicking this link:

Step 2:

Once you're a member of InterNACHI, you'll need to complete “Alberta Licensing Training Courses (online & free to members) all the courses are outlined and can be found here:

http://www.nachi.org/alberta.htm

Step 3:

On satisfactory completion of all the courses, you now need to call us & make arrangements for your two final exams. As an InterNACHI listed exam proctor, we have access to the correct InterNACHI exam portals & correct certification.

Please note:

A CMI will not be able to proctor the exams and issue the necessary paperwork.

On successful completion of the two exams, you will receive from your exam proctor a certificate of completion that is approved by Alberta to be included in your application package to submit to Service Alberta in order to obtain your licence.

Step 4:

You can now schedule your test & peer review inspection - call: 403-404-1514

Step 5:

On successful completion of the supervised test inspection & peer review, your examiner will endorse your Government of Alberta Test certificate, which must be included with your application for a Home Inspectors Licence/business thereof.

At this point, you can now submit your application to the Government of Alberta for further approval.
